Tears

....However the "sad tears" were found to contain the very same chemicals and enzymes that are found in tumours, ulcers and other such lumps and bumps and sicknesses through out the body. This test concluded that the body, when crying in sadness etc is literally flushing out all of the toxic-chemicals that accumulate and are a part of the sadness /heart ache experience. Therefore if one holds back those tears, those toxic-waters will find somewhere else to depositthemselves..... and prolonged lack-of-crying-release will guarantee that the body will accumulate a huge amount of internal pollution and toxicity that should have been released through the tears........is it any wonder that the eyes sting so much when we hold back our tears?"

Psalm 125:5 Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.

Luke 7:37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.

Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Tears in this life are healing. So cry a flowing river and I'm speaking to myself as well. Cry until He wipes every tear from our faces. Every tear of pain, disappointments, rejection, anger, brokenness, failures, forgiveness...because when we see His face and look into that love, that light, face to face, I can only imagine we will cry and it will be our last time.

Look

Psalm 121:1 I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord watches over you--

I must come back to this scripture even though it was an entry just a few days ago on circumstances and praise. This morning I am returning to where we 'do' look.

Often I think about the scripture, He is high and lifted up and His train fills the temple Isaiah 6. Every reference to the Lord is upward, God of the heavens, His throne, His voice, God of the earth, the house of God, blessings of God, His bread, the Lord Himself God of Heaven, His rain, His light, His thunder, His dwelling place, His fire, saving strength of His right hand, and His Word which established everything.

My eyes see upward, 'to the hills', because any vision below upward begins to diminish to worldly wants, everything that I control or everything that controls me by looking at circumstance. But when I look to Him and keep my eyes looking 'upward', I surrender to Him. It is not possible to look at two places at the same time, even peripheral vision doesn't allow for this, it is either up or somewhere else, maybe even 'down', but that is for another day.

He never sleeps in His heaven, NEVER sleeps, WOW, that's certainly incomprehensible.
While He lovingly watches and is looking 'down', look back 'up' at Him.

Matthew 22: 1 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: 2 "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, 3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 4 Again, he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding." ' 5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. 6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. 7 But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.' 10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 So he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' 14 For many are called, but few are chosen."

The wedding feast is ready, the Groom is ready for His Bride. Those invited did not come. They did not know nor understand nor could see as they went their ways into their own worlds. This has always been a sad scripture for me that those invited did not to come to the wedding. Think of what infinite joy, exuberant ecstasy to see our Groom, to see Him face to face.

Many are called and few are - 'chosen' - Ekklectos ekklêtos from Ekklessia ekklêsia 'the congregation'; an assembly of the citizens regularly summoned.

Isaiah 63:9 In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

What an incomprehensible journey. As mercy pours from His throne on us, day after day without limit from a merciful and forgiving God. Once we open our hearts and truly understand, how can we withhold mercy and forgiveness from anyone who asks of us?

The scripture in Matthew when Jesus said to Peter, 'what you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and what you loosed on earth will be loosed in heaven', and pertaining to sin, people, demonic influences, the Word of God goes forth to forgive us, heal the brokenhearted and set free those in captivity. This is the timeless Word of God, the Bread of Life which feeds thousands and thousands. We bind His Word in our hearts and loosed His Word to feed the nations.

Millions pass us by somewhere, everywhere, millions seeking or crying for mercy for past hurts, past crimes or past sin. As we are transformed into becoming more like Christ, it is our choice to show compassion and mercy as He showed us compassion and mercy.

When we cry out for mercy, He IS there every time, He hears us and covers us with His great wings, there is healing in His wings, and we can rest in them and find peace.

The harvest IS ready, as laborers in the field, we go into His glorious crops, reaching with compassion and forgiveness and mercy. Nothing less.

Mercy; compassionate treatment, especially of those under one's power; clemency; a disposition to be kind and forgiving: a heart full of mercy, something for which to be thankful; a blessing

March 27, 2008 Circumstance and Praise

Circumstance and Praise

1Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 16:7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.

Psalm 28:6 Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.

Psalm 51:15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.

5 The Lord watches over you-- the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life; 8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Circumstances are just that, nonessential details that get in the way of faith, hope and love. In order to move through the veil to victory, 'circumstance' must be seen as a non-contributing part of hope for what lies ahead. Circumstance does not dictate, it does not control, it does not have a future, only faith, hope and love perseveres.

Philippians 3:13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Regardless of circumstance, laying it aside as an obstacle to my faith, it has nothing to do with WHO GOD IS and His plan for my life. I will praise Him regardless of my circumstance, I will rise up and praise Him in my storms.

March 26, 2008, Wait

Wait: to wait, look for, hope, expect; waiting (participle); to wait or look eagerly for; to lie in wait for; to wait for, linger for; to collect, bind together; to be collected

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint

I want to stay here again today. Looking at the word 'wait' and questioning how this is in relation to my walk. That is is not about the typical definition; to remain inactive or a state of repose; it is action. And as I wait on the Lord, my strength is renewed.

And in this Hebrew root, part of the definition is to collect, bind together. And as I live to collect and bind together my heart with hearts of my brothers and sisters in 'waiting' on Him I will not grow weary, I will not faint. I will soar every time. Because it is the heart, the heart never grows weary, the body does, the mind does, but never the heart.

I always thought it interesting that the 'weary' comes with the running and the 'fainting' comes with the walking. When I thought about it in correlation to endurance or in my case an experience of marathons; it makes perfect sense. It is in the crossing the finishing line that this occurs. When running an endurance race, or in my case not running, either way, especially with those running, once you cross the finish line if you stop abruptly, blood pools and you will cramp or 'faint'.

And as we all press toward the finish line as Paul speaks of, Hebrews 12, 'waiting' on Him in every aspect of service in Him, and with our hearts as our guides, we are running a race, and when we cross the finish line, we walk straight into His Arms.

Again this is ringing in my ears this morning,

Hang On or Soar

Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. _____NIV

I cling to Your Word, it sustains me, supplies for me, rejuvenates me. But my mind is weak and every obstacle that the evil one can throw in my way will be there as well. The time comes to sort through what is His truth and obstacles keeping me from His truth; to sort through what is my mind, my resistance, my holding on, anything which keeps my heart from diving into His perfect will. So my answer is before me, let go and let God have His perfect will, in order to really step into His call, I must not be afraid to soar.

Pure Love

Matthew 28: 1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you." 8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

Yes, indeed He is Alive! How can I know this is true? By His Word, yes, also by experiencing Him, His awesome presence in my life. Jesus said, 'my sheep know My voice'. I hear His voice, but only when I'm still because His voice is always loving, always soft, always gentle, always encouraging, always comforting, always protecting, always reminding me that He will never leave me or forsake me, always giving me a free will in my choices.

Jesus is always patiently waiting with me and always ready for me to run into His arms.
Yes, My Redeemer, My Savior, My El-Shaddai, My Adonai Lives, I know this is true.

A Glorious Resurrection to experience everyday, He is pure LOVE.

March 22, 2008, A Day To Wait

A Day To Wait

wait: –verb 1. To remain inactive or in a state of repose, as until something expected happens

On the Sabbath, the day after Jesus died on the cross and was buried.

Matthew 27:65 "Take a guard," Pilate answered. "Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how." 66 So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.

I think of everyone who loved, was healed and followed Jesus, that day after. They most likely didn't sleep, weeping all night. Who on that day of waiting understood fully what happened and was about to happen? What was it like on that day of mourning, on that Sabbath.

Mary Magdalene and Mary, Joseph of Arimathea, the disciples, did they meet to comfort each other? The ones that fled at the arrest, where did they go? Did they lose hope?
What must have been going through their minds as they remembered what happened just the day before?

It was a day of mourning; a day of waiting and expecting something to happen for those who believed Him.

We know what happened; for us, this Sabbath is a day of remembering.

The Perfect Lamb

Can We Watch?

Isaiah 53 1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. 9 And they made His grave with the wicked-- But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. 11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

March 20, 2008, The Passover, The First Night

The Passover, The First Night

This is such a sacred time as we remember each year what He did for us. This passage of scripture is the first night of His suffering. And if you receive this it is because I love you and desire that you be able 'experience' His breathtaking love that no man can ever give. I pray that you would really try and read this over until it 'becomes substance' in you, the depth of what He did for us. And the video below is from the movie The Passion, it is heart-wrenching and difficult to watch. He bore it all for us, sin, death, sickness, lack, humiliation; he was mocked, scourged, hated, teased, abandoned, every hurtful and painful circumstance in our lives, He willingly and sacrificially took it all upon Himself to save us. We owe everything to Him, everything.

This is the First Night, The Passover, this time death will not pass.

Matthew 26: 17 On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?" 18 He replied, "Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, 'The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.'" 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. 20 When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. 21 And while they were eating, he said, "I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me." 22 They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, "Surely not I, Lord?" 23 Jesus replied, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. 24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born." 25 Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, "Surely not I, Rabbi?" Jesus answered, "Yes, it is you." 26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." 27 Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29 I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom." 30 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 31 Then Jesus told them, "This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: "'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' 32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee." 33 Peter replied, "Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will." 34 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." 35 But Peter declared, "Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you." And all the other disciples said the same. 36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." 39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." 40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter. 41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." 42 He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done." 43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing. 45 Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Safely To Shore

Acts 27:20 When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. 21 After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: "Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. 22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed.

Life, what can I say? Full of storms and pits and troubles. It is unavoidable and in the center of, or at the end of each storm there is a respite. As we fight the winds in our battles and turmoil, when nothing is left, nothing in resources, strength, or hope, the Lord always sends someone to encourage us and says, "there is an eye in the storm", "keep courage", "you will not be destroyed".

In this scripture, those on this ship were told by Paul they would not survive if they didn't stay with the boat, after they pretended to lower an anchor but instead a life boat to try and escape. They then trusted Paul and cut away the ropes to the lifeboat.

Oh the significance of putting trust in 'lifeboats' things in our lives that cannot save us, and sticking with it fighting through the storm and trusting God's Word and His promises. We know the end of this 'real life' story, they came safely to shore on the island of Malta, some on planks, some swam.

So whatever it takes, hold on, you will arrive safely, every time, it's a promise in more ways than our finite minds can comprehend.

Psalm 139: 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Did you know that you were called from the earth and with a purpose? Each and every one of us, ordained of God. Can we comprehend the universe and all His creation? How profound, we are part of it! Because we exist we were written in His book, before we were born we were written in His book and part of His perfect plan. How awesome, we were born for a time as this with a perfect plan?

In Awe of You

As I sit here thinking and questioning my ability to understand what Jesus really did for me, I am in awe, which overrides my mind and the ability to comprehend completely. We read in His Word about His incredible love, sometimes we experience it, we see it in each other, but I know even what I experience and what I see is in part. And this love even in part is enough to overwhelm me; even in part heals me, draws me, makes me starve and be desperate for more.

In awe of Him. Do I really understand, really?

Face to Face

Exodus 33:11 The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.

Deuteronomy 5:4 The Lord spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain. 1

Corinthians 8: 13 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Oh Lord, I want to see Your face. Is this possible now? Can we handle being in Your presence face to face? To experience you more now as on that day when we behold You fully. As the wind of Your Holy Spirit touches us with His presence in soft whispering wind and fire, so do You Lord Jesus walk by us and are with us every minute of every day and You Father watch over us every minute of everyday, whether we seek You or not, You are with us, calling us, guiding us. And when we surrender to You and desire to see You, we do see You in every face that passes by. We are Your creation, in Your image. We desire to see You face to face, the awesome beautiful communion we were created to experience with You. Show us Lord, Your beautiful face.

Pain

Pain sometimes is a locked from the inside of the heart.

In the fiction book 'The Shack' , Mackenzie during his search through his pain in 'The Great Sadness' after his daughter's tragic abduction and murder, in conversation with the Father , who is the character Papa, Papa says to Mackenzie, 'People are tenacious when it comes to the treasure of their imaginary independence. They hoard and hold their sickness with a firm grip. They find their identity and worth in their brokenness and guard it with every ounce of strength they have. No wonder grace has such little attraction. In that sense you have locked the door of your heart from the inside.'

I like this version in The Message. This may also pertain to stored up pain over time although that isn't the context.

2 Corinthians 7:9 Now I'm glad - not that you were upset, but that you were jarred into turning things around. You let the distress bring you to God, not drive you from him. The result was all gain, no loss. 10 Distress that drives us to God does that. It turns us around. It gets us back in the way of salvation. We never regret that kind of pain. But those who let distress drive them away from God are full of regrets, end up on a deathbed of regrets. 11 And now, isn't it wonderful all the ways in which this distress has goaded you closer to God? You're more alive, more concerned, more sensitive, more reverent, more human, more passionate, more responsible. Looked at from any angle, you've come out of this with purity of heart.

Job 14:22 Body and soul, that's it for us - a lifetime of pain, a lifetime of sorrow.

All through God's Word pain is referenced with a woman in child birth.

Isaiah 26:18 As a woman with child Is in pain and cries out in her pangs, When she draws near the time of her delivery, So have we been in Your sight, O Lord.

This represents life and death and living for both women and men in their toiling. All aspects of living, giving birth and dying. What an awesome plan God has for us.

And to all the young sisters that are giving birth all within the next 2 weeks to a month... In the pain of labor and birth, joy comes. Rejoice! Natalie

Do Not Be Afraid

Luke 8:49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler. "Your daughter is dead," he said. "Don't bother the teacher any more." 50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed." 51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child's father and mother. 52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep." 53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the hand and said, "My child, get up!" 55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. 56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.

'Fear not' in other scripture versions. What is all happening here? First there is someone pleading with the Lord, knowing her daughter is already dead, in this case physically. Did that stop her? What faith!! Would you cry out to the Lord to raise someone that has died? It's in us -this faith.

The significance today for me is death and dying in the things of the past. This refers to healing in the same way. When we have died inside because of dreadful situations that have occurred over our lives and have not totally given them up to the Lord for many reasons. There is a need to be complete by this process of laying all things at His feet, at the foot of the cross where He bore it all for us to be healed.

He says to us here, 'don't be afraid, only believe and you will be healed'. Peter, John and James being the only ones to go with Him into the child's room with the father and mother may be significant in that we must choose carefully our prayer warriors or the ones standing with us, not everyone has the same vision for what you seek. Seek those who will stand with you when you are 'dead' and can't speak for yourself. Think about that a bit longer. And along the way some may laugh and cry, and even say it isn't necessary. But the Lord is always near and in you saying 'Talitha cumi or my child, get up!' Isn't that enough to hear His voice, His protection, His desire for you to live and be made whole. It is His voice, listen.

March 13, 2008, Total Healing

Total Healing

Healing is not just physical but also spiritual and emotional. The Lord says, 'I have come to give you life, that you may have it more abundantly', John 10:10

When Jesus walked the earth, the sick, afflicted, came to Him either for themselves or for others as well as for those dying and dead and He healed them all. Not one was turned away.

Here are only a few scriptures that come to my heart in regard to crying out to God and asking Him for healing.

Psalm 37:4 Delight yourselves also in the Lord, and I will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 5: 3 In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

Isaiah 64:4 Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.

Micah 7:7 But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Physical, spiritual, emotional make up the total us. We are created in His image. Provision is available for healing whether by His knowledge or by faith or both. His love and desire is for us to have life and have it more abundantly. And if we ask when we pray, and believe that we receive, we will have them. What really is our heart's desire? Is it to be healed? It does includes emotional and spiritual.

Lay your requests before the Lord and wait, expect, and receive.

March 12, 2008, Your Glory

Your Glory

Let Your glory shine over all the earth that we may see You, that we may understand, and be changed forever.

Isaiah 58:6 Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-- when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? 8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

Isaiah 58 is my most read scripture. It became apparent that all through His Word he calls us to go out and take care of His sheep. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, find shelter for the homeless and not to turn your back on them.

It is for each of us to answer this call. And a gift comes...Your light will break forth like the dawn and your healing will quickly appear. Your righteousness will go before you. And the Lord will be your rear guard.

Let His glory fall on you, let His glory cover you, let His glory go before you and be your rear guard.

The Lord Your Healer
Adonai Roph' ekha
The Lord who heals you

Isaiah 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Psalm 103:2 Bless ADONAI, my soul, and forget none of his benefits! 3 He forgives all your offenses, he heals all your diseases, 4 he redeems your life from the pit, he surrounds you with grace and compassion, 5 he contents you with good as long as you live, so that your youth is renewed like an eagle's.

Exodus 5:26 He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you." Psalm 30:2 O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.

Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, For You are my praise. Matthew 12:15 But Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. Many followed Him, and He healed them all,

Our God, Adonai, Roph'ekha is our healer. He is a loving God. He created us, every cell in our being. Everything within us must conform to His promises as we surrender to Him, wait on Him, rest in Him. This is where healing is found. His Name is above all names. His Name is above all diseases, above all illnesses. His Word goes forth and everything changes according to His purpose for our lives. Walk in His everlasting joy, His everlasting promises, His everlasting healing. Rest in Him, in His great wings, in His mighty righteous right hand, His mighty arms.
And Be Healed.

March 10, 2008, All Sufficient

All Sufficient

Your light goes forth and there is no shadow. You are the light of life John 8:12 and in You there is life, life more abundantly. As we reach to You for life, You show us Your face.
We seek Your face. You are El-Shaddai -- Our All Sufficient God.

Psalm 68:7-14
7 God, when you went forth before your people, When you marched through the wilderness... Selah. 8 The eretz trembled. The sky also poured down rain at the presence of the God of Sinai -- At the presence of God, the God of Yisra'el. 9 You, God, sent a plentiful rain. You confirmed your inheritance, when it was weary. 10 Your congregation lived therein. You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor. 11 The Lord announced the word. The ones who proclaim it are a great company. 12 "Kings of armies flee! They flee!" She who waits at home divides the spoil, 13 While you sleep among the campfires, The wings of a dove sheathed with silver, Her feathers with shining gold. 14 When Shaddai scattered kings in her, It snowed on Tzalmon. ____Hebrew Names Bible

And in ___NKJ
69:7 O God, when You went out before Your people, When You marched through the wilderness, Selah 8 The earth shook; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. 9 You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary. 10 Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor. 11 The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it: 12 "Kings of armies flee, they flee, And she who remains at home divides the spoil. 13 Though you lie down among the sheepfolds, You will be like the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her feathers with yellow gold." 14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, It was white as snow in Zalmon.

As I am encouraged to 'wait', and I 'wait' on the Lord which is in this very moment, looking to Him for my needs, ALL my needs, physical, material, emotional, spiritual, He IS All Sufficient, there is no other. He IS El-Shaddai, my All Sufficient Father who meets, loves, carries, nurtures, gently guides, enthusiastically encourages, supplies always; never leaves, hates, drops, abandons, pushes, forces, abuses, takes ever. The world is at our finger tips before the place of our next foot step. His abundance unfolds before us in this very moment before our eyes, not a minute too late or a minute too early.

When you are weary, He is sufficient. 'Live therein', 'dwell in it', 'remain at home', divide the spoil. Live with Him, dwell with Him, remain with Him, divide His blessings, there is victory in His name!

Rest

Matthew 11: 28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

1 Peter 5: 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

My constant question is how? It isn't something that can be done cognitively. It is resting in Him that comes from the heart and faith. To process mentally how this happens will never work. So when I am stressed or confused or misdirected, tired or desperate there is only one thing for me to do. Go to His Word, pray and find myself in His arms, that love, that light that only He can give. I rest and listen and let Him direct me. There isn't a better place for me to spend my day, working or not working. We have a choice to walk in this 'rest' with Him, moment by moment.

March 6, 2008, Truth

Truth

It is absolute amazing how Truth is often twisted to benefit our own needs.

And like a movie in my mind I think about Jesus' life as followers searched for truth as He taught His truth. Mary sitting at his feet, children in His arms, the apostles leaving their nets, families on the hills and roads and ultimately those that loved Him and knew Him gathered around the foot of the cross, weeped at His unrecognizable body, watching the one they loved and for Mary what it truly must have been like as His mother watching her son and not being able to rescue Him or protect Him. Watching Him, the ultimate sacrifice, watching and learning still His truth and the truth of His Word being fulfilled.

And I think about how teachings have hurt us, and taught us what is not truth and poisoned us. And those that walked away from Truth that wouldn't stay with Him, wanted the children to stay away, those that He called that didn't leave their nets, families that watched from a distance in disbelief or stayed in their homes and shut their doors, that passed by Him on the roads, those that hated Him, that hit Him, spat on Him, tore His beard from His face, bruised Him, ripped His flesh with lashes, laughed at His unrecognizable face, nailed Him to the cross, mocked Him, gambled His cloak and thought It WAS finished and to this day believe this lie. And yes, He said IT IS FINISHED, everything that comes against exalting itself against His Knowledge, His Word, His Truth but not eternal life with Him as our SAVIOR and KING.

2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ

March 5, 2008, To Feel or Not To Feel

To Feel or Not To Feel,

(Bring me joy, bring me peace, bring a chance to be free. the song below once again is in my heart.)

And the question is why are we fearful of feelings? What a wonderful thing to keep the walls down and go ahead and be vulnerable. It really is okay. The saying, 'first impressions are lasting impressions' isn't always the outward appearance. It is feeling, what is not seen. It's that thing we can't see, or really put our finger on, it is what is within.

What a gamut of possibilities! And since perceptions power emotions which are powered from our paradigm, and even if our paradigm is skewed, the skewed feelings that come are a place to begin. If we are afraid, we can go to the source of the initial emotion of a similar or same perception. Then the work begins to heal and change. Our hearts cannot lie, it holds the key to answers we seek about our life. The heart is the center of emotion and life. To live a rich full life is to feel it all, all that comes with life, the negative and the positive and not be afraid. Because all feeling is given to us by God and anger the most avoided (a personal journey) is of God. I truly believe this is one source of poison in our bodies, holding in anger. And in Ephesians it is clear, 'get rid of it before the sun goes down'.

Psalm 4:4 Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
Ephesians 4:26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

Let's be honest, the bottom line, if we think our feelings or emotions can be hidden we are lying to ourselves. It doesn't matter if by intuition, discernment or sensory perception, our feelings are all over us. Don't be afraid to be open and feel it all. We were born and live to feel.

Some quotes on feeling

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched ... but are felt in the heart. ___Helen Keller

You cannot make yourself feel something you do not feel, but you can make yourself do right in spite of your feelings.___Pearl S. Buck

Before you can inspire with emotion, you must be swamped with it yourself. Before you can move their tears, your own must flow. To convince them, you must yourself believe.___Sr. Winston Churchill

Our all knowing, omnipotent God created us as 'feeling' beings. He is love, and love is a feeling.

And the most incomprehensible of all:

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ___NKJ

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. ___The Message

March 4, 2008, The Word

The Word

I woke up with a question.

If My Word, that is this book, the bible in itself were ever taken away would you as a mature Christian have enough in your heart to ponder it and give to those who know it not?

Pretty heavy question. I can honestly say, not enough, not enough at all! And considering historically that this has happened in many countries under Communism, could we in the U.S. ever be faced with such a disaster?

The Word, store it in your heart, where no one can take it away....

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.(my thought, as I share, why do we as Christians treat those searching for Truth as though they need to be 'whitewashed' before giving them the Word of Truth, which is Christ? Be careful, because who are we? When we are nothing as it says, we deceive ourselves) 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load. 6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.

In the book of Acts the disciples, preached, taught, spoke, beared witness to, glorified, that they may hear, learn, receive, be transformed, healed, saved by____The Word, which is God's Word, Made Flesh.

Let His Word be near you, in your mouth and in your heart...It is the Word of Faith. Romans 10:8

You have it, keep it, use it.

Talk about a good cry to my surprise this one touched me deeply!.....
We all have this in us.

March 3, 2008, Latch On

Latch On

When you find Him, latch on and don't let go!

Genisis 32:24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks." But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!" 27 So He said to him, "What is your name?" He said, "Jacob." 28 And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel;for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed." 29 Then Jacob asked, saying, "Tell me Your name, I pray." And He said, "Why is it that you ask about My name?" And He blessed him there. 30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel:"For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." 31 Just as he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he limped on his hip.

Can you imagine wrestling with God! Who m-e-e?!! The fact is we all do. We either wrestle because we resist Him, or in this case with Jacob, we want Him to bless us. Jacob wrestled to be blessed, When asked 'what is your name?', Jacob means 'supplanter', he no longer carries the name of his usurping. 'Supplanter' of his father Isaac's blessing that was intended for Esau. His name was given to him, Y'SRA'EL, 'he who strives with God'. He already received a blessing from his father Isaac, but his final blessing must come from His Abba, Heavenly Father.

Wow, and noticed in vs.28, and 'you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.
Jacob/Israel prevailed both against God and man. And the reward at the end...
vs.29....AND HE (God Himself, Face to face) BLESSED HIM THERE.

HOLD ON, LATCH ON, CLING WITH EVERYTHING IN YOU, THE BLESSING IS COMING!
and the worse thing that can happen is we'll walk with a heaven given limp to remind us of our humanity, we will receive the blessing, and can be humble with the blessing.

If you see me walking with a limp..you'll know why.

So your name is Y'srael, no longer 'supplanter' or 'one who takes by the heel'. You will birth out of your loins a great nation. You will see God face to face and live!

And like Jabez who wanted the same...

Honk Like A Goose
(You'll have to watch the video to be encouraged, it's 'our song')

What a limitless gesture of love. Encourage. To hold someone's hand, embrace and love and be loved, to comfort in time of distress or grief, to lift up in time of doubt, to support, to go the distance to the end, to cry with crying, to laugh with laughing, to supply in need, to smile. And with a smile, it is limitless, it can change an atmosphere, comfort, lift up, show love, show you care, show 'thank you' for being here. A smile, it is free. And a smile with encouragment, a smile with His love, can change someone's life today.

So when you're in a restaurant, a store, anywhere and you see someone down, or sad, or anxious, or just not smiling, lift them up, look at them in their eyes (you will find Jesus if you look) and smile, He will smile back and they will too.

To all of you who have been a limitless source of encouragement for me these last months. I am so thankful for you and encourage you back. We are hugging each other all day long, in our hearts and in our prayers for each other.

Psalms 67:1

God, mark us with grace and blessing! Smile! ___The Message

March 1, 2008, Egypt or Canaan

Egypt or Canaan

Lord help me walk in Your ways, I want to please You above all.

(Back to the giants in the land of milk and honey in which we are to possess.)

Egypt, everything we hold onto or want to go back to which enslaves us.Canaan, everything we move into to possess as an inheritance which frees us. Moses sent leaders of the tribes of Israel to spy on the land. They returned with pomegranates and figs and a cluster of grapes on a pole so heavy and large it took two to carry it. But....to claim the land there was a catch - to overcome fear of giants and take claim or to give into the fear and fall short. Thank God for people like Caleb, who see with eyes and a heart that says 'I CAN DO It' and help us 'see', 'WE CAN DO THIS!'

Numbers 13: 27 They gave Moses this account: "We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. 28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan." 30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it." 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are." 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. 33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them."

As we walk into a blessing it is inevitable that fear should rob us of the blessing ahead. What a lush land, everything we need to live an abundant life! And if we don't take our stand to walk into it and overcome the fear, who will do it for us? We cannot look or listen to any defeated attitudes. Some of our best friends and family and leaders could pull us down in our confidence, smash our paradigm and skew our perception of who we are. How can we overcome? The law was not perfect, but His love is perfect. And perfect love casts out all fear.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

So, go into the land which He has given you to possess and where you foot is there you will be blessed, claim it. A beautiful land, flowing with milk and honey.
