In The Middle

Our lives come down to the very first and the very last, and in the middle it is all about You Lord, nothing else. It has to happen, over and over again in our lives. We come to a place where we question our existence, 'our' very purpose and ask 'why are we here anyway?' It is a place that is too difficult in the midst of the question. Because in the midst of it we are feeling alone, rejected, powerless (which is not a bad place, actually good), defeated, a nothing. It may happen often or it may not happen for many years. When it does though, it can be a place of danger setting the stage for a trap that is hard to get out of if we fall in. A living hell on earth. It will happen, you can guarantee it, when 'it' does, allow 'it' only to see 'it' for what 'it' is and not let 'it' take hold (That's a lot of 'its, I'm not teaching English). To take the time to see why and where it is coming from (well we know the less than peon from whom that is). Then the real test comes, to fight through the storm, through the dust and whirlwind, through the torture, through the hate, through the bitterness, through the anger, through the wanting to give up. It's a dangerous place to stay in the midst of these, it's amazing what the less than peon can do! I don't even want to give him attention, he is a less than peon. I know that regardless Lord, You have proved Yourself to me over and over and overagain. You are a loving God, You don't play games with us, we are not Your puppets ona string, we are Yours, and You love us with an everlasting love. Your Word has a depththat is unreachable and unsearchable, but when we do search You give us what we can handle. Our finite minds are corrupt and our actions forever grieve You. When we cry out to You from our changed hearts, You hear us and answer us. We know it is allhuman pride and when we can step on pride and kick it away, we can cry out with a pure heart. Forgive us Lord, we have fallen short of Your plan in our lives.

Job 3:1 After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth.

When it happens, just don't stay there, and Job didn't.

The first
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
The middle
Psalm 103:1 Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2 Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--
The last
Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

You do save us, even when we take our eyes off You and fall in.

I should have saved this for today...the images are appropriate for today... the 'middle' is beautiful...because it is where we finally cry out to God with a pure heart.. when there is nothing left..a beautiful and perfect place to be.

'Who am I?'...'I am Yours'.
