Our Beautiful Children

Psalm 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. 2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil;for he gives to his beloved sleep. 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. 5 Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

Psalm 144:12 Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace. 13 Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields; 14 our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets. 15 Blessed are the people of whom this is true; blessed are the people whose God is the Lord.

You know, our heritage, our children are sincerely the most indescribable beauty in this life we know. Precious gifts, children are gifts, straight from heaven, gifts from God.

The family, if we aren't careful is being bombarded with continuous interference of worldly desires to take away our focus. The family has to be more than praises for outward looks, adornment and accomplishments. Our children are more than the metaphor of 'plants' and 'carved pillars'. Our lives together is more than the analogy of abundance and wealth in 'things'. The abundance is our heritage and beauty of life; our beautiful children and their beautiful children and theirs, this is the ultimate blessing in this life. And somehow we over time have lost sight, mainly in this great land of material abundance.

Life is precious, our children, are priceless beyond measure reaching for generations and for eternity. We will never be separated, we are His, and He is ours, we are each others, forever.

Our children, the most indescribable gifts in this life and waiting in heaven we know.
