Yield To Him

Jeremiah 18:1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message." 3 So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. 5 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the Lord. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

Isaiah 64:8 Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

The clay must yield to the potter's hands; if it does not yield it cannot be formed, it becomes marred and must taken off and is reformed. It must be perfectly centered and in balance and as the potter's hands begin to press in and steady the clay with a gentle lifting pressure the vessel is formed and grows upward.

Isaiah 44:2a This is what the Lord says-- he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you:

The Creator's Hands, the One Who formed us in our mother's womb, Who knew us and knows us and knows our future, His ways are not our ways. If we resist, while being formed our shape becomes mangled and we are taken off the wheel. But the wonderful thing, we can be put back on the wheel and reformed. It is never too late to yield to His perfect Creating Hands to allow Him to form us into a beautiful vessel to be used for His purpose, 'as seems best to Him'.

Jeremiah 18:4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

And that's not the end, the next step, we must go through the fire to be strengthened.

Added an instruction video of a potter using an electric potter's wheel.Listen to the potter, this is how we feel His hands as we are formed, we may feel uncomfortable and want to resist, until we feel Him pull us towards Him. The rest of the forming is uncomfortable, ouch!"

Hand on us, feeling pressure, releasing, support, push away, pull towards."
