Christmas In July
Luke 2:8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
The song 'Falling On My Knees" is still ringing within me for two days now. And I love every second. Even in my sleep I hear it. You know how it is once you hear a song it stays with you. What an awesome, wonderful thing to have with you, a song of incredible awareness of who we are in His presence. It is my continuous reminder.
This awesome day when Christ was born, what it must have been like. Can you put yourself there? Just see, feel, hear, all that is going on around you, I can only imagine the presence of God with Mary and Joseph, and then can you imagine hearing the a heavenly host of angels, what it must have sounded like!! WOW. The Savior of the world is born, Even the angels cry out in praise to Him. What else is there, really? But to worship Him, be in His presence and do His will. And you don't really have to be on your knees all the time to do it. It is in your home, your conversations, your presence with people around you, at work, everywhere you go you have the choice to be in His presence.
He came that we all may live!! Choose life. It is now, and it is to come, forever and ever.
