Heirs
Matthew 12:6 While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47 Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you." 48 He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."
Romans 8:17 "Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. 18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently."
Father, He is Your Son, and He is our brother. We are joint heirs with the Son of the living God. We are co-heirs with Christ. And what is His suffering that we share in His glory? That we die with Him, be crucified with Him, believe in Him, hope in Him, walk with Him, talk with Him, listen to Him, desire to be with Him, desire to know Him, that we may live with Him now and forever.
We hope for what we cannot see with our physical eyes or experience with our physical bodies. All of creation waits eagerly to reveal everything to us. We groan in labor as an expecting mother in labor, along with Creation. As a mother giving birth, the hope is within her, 'seeing' creation of new life is not fully revealed until birth. Creation groans as in the same labor ready to give birth that we may see new life. Birth into new life comes with death in Christ and death of the flesh. We are born into this new life as a baby, born into this new life with You, and finally born into eternal new life with You.
Do you see this? It is being revealed. Creation will be liberated from its bondage, no more decay, but glorious freedom of the children of God, we who have been adopted as we wait eagerly, even now.
How Beautiful! And honestly, I feel as I read this, if much more is revealed to me, my flesh would not be able to handle it, it is too awesome, too glorious to really comprehend with my finite mind.
Here's some of His glorious Creation, Galaxies, SuperNovas and Nebula. What a small representation of His total Creation.
