Broken Vessels
God is not codependent to our dysfunctional addictions. And if we believe that everything works out for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose we must believe that our steps are ordered but not controlled. We won't even go there with various doctrine. Because the reality, they do nothing but divert our focus from our primary calling, to love one another. Instead they cause hurt and separateness.
In the searching and working and dying to oneself, hard decisions are made while searching for a deeper relationship with the Lord and trusting Him only; because He really is the only way and the ultimate truth, then we can move forward with confidence in every decision whether minute or life changing.
His ways are not our ways. His love is not our love. As a matter of a fact we can hardly love or not love at all in comparison to His perfect love. We're not only broken vessels that can hold no water but shattered vessels with pieces scattered so far about that only the Master Potter can put us back together. Does this grieve Him who is pure love? That in our brokeness and in our pain we inflict pain whether cognitively or not. Whether decisive or indecisive. This profound call of the Lord is to love one another as I have loved you.
